FIRE Highly flammable.  NO open flames, NO sparks and NO smoking.  Use alcohol-resistant foam, powder, carbon dioxide. 
EXPLOSION Vapour/air mixtures are explosive.  Closed system, ventilation, explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Prevent build-up of electrostatic charges (e.g., by grounding). Do NOT use compressed air for filling, discharging, or handling.  In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water. 
 
EXPOSURE      
Inhalation Cough. Dizziness. Drowsiness. Lethargy. Headache. Sore throat.  Use ventilation, local exhaust or breathing protection.  Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention. 
Skin Dry skin. Redness.  Protective gloves. Protective clothing.  Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. 
Eyes Redness. Pain.  Wear safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.  First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention. 
Ingestion Abdominal pain. Nausea. See Inhalation.  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.  Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention . 

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL
PACKAGING & LABELLING
Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations. Do NOT wash away into sewer.

Physical dangers
The vapour mixes well with air, explosive mixtures are easily formed. As a result of flow, agitation, etc., electrostatic charges can be generated. 

Chemical dangers
Reacts violently with strong oxidants, strong bases, amines and isocyanates. 

Occupational exposure limits
TLV: 200 ppm, 705 mg/m³ as TWA; 250 ppm, 881 mg/m³ as STEL; (ACGIH 1997). 

Routes of exposure
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour and by ingestion. 

Inhalation risk
A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C. 

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Exposure above the OEL could cause lowering of consciousness. 

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis.
