    CHLORDANE              JMPR 1972

    Explanation

    Chlordane has been reviewed at the Meetings in 1963, 1965, 1967 and
    1970 (FAO/WHO 1964, 1965, 1968, 1971). The Joint Meeting reviewed the
    data on chlordane residues on peppers and pimentoes and decided to
    issue the following additional recommendations for tolerances.

    RECOMMENDATIONS

    TOLERANCES

         Peppers and pimentoes                   0.02 ppm

         Expressed as the sum of the cis- and trans-isomers of
         chlordane.
