4. Comments on Data Reported and Evaluation
4.1 Animal carcinogenicity data
Sudan brown RR was only tested in rats by the oral route. It produced
no evidence of a carcinogenic effect, but the adequacy of the dose
level used was not known, and no evaluation could be made.
4.2 Human carcinogenicity data
No case reports or epidemiological studies were available to the
Working Group.
