5. Summary of Data Reported and Evaluation
5.1 Animal carcinogenicity data
Azaserine is carcinogenic in rats following its intraperitoneal
injection, the only species and route tested: it produced
adenocarcinomas of the pancreas and tumours of the kidney.
5.2 Human carcinogenicity data
No case reports or epidemiological studies were available to the
Working Group.
