5. Summary of Data Reported and Evaluation
5.1 Animal carcinogenicity data
Mitomycin C is carcinogenic in mice following its subcutaneous
injection and in rats following its intraperitoneal or intravenous
injection. In rats it produced both local and distant tumours.
5.2 Human carcinogenicity data
No case reports or epidemiological studies were available to the
Working Group.
