5. Summary of Data Reported and Evaluation
5.1 Animal carcinogenicity data
Phenicarbazide is carcinogenic in mice when administered orally, the
only species and route investigated. It produced lung tumours and
angiomas and/or angiosarcomas in the liver.
5.2 Human carcinogenicity data
No case reports or epidemiological studies were available to the
Working Group.
