5. Summary of Data Reported and Evaluation
5.1 Animal data
Hexamethylphosphoramide is carcinogenic in rats, the only species
tested, following its administration by inhalation; in this study,
which was reported as a preliminary note, it produced squamous-cell
carcinomas of the nasal cavity. It has also been inadequately tested
in rats by oral administration.
5.2 Human data
No case reports or epidemiological studies were available to the
Working Group.
