BROMOPHOS
EXPLANATION AND APPRAISAL
At the request of the CCPR the meeting reviewed the MRLs for
bromophos on a number of commodities. The meeting was informed that
for apples the residue data submitted for evaluation in 1982 did not
correspond to GAP in the country where the trials were carried out and
agreed to reconsider the MRL when adequate information on GAP was
available. On reviewing the residue data for lettuce, plums and
spinach reported in the 1982 evaluations, the meeting concluded that
its earlier recommendations should be changed.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The following MRLs replace those previously recommended. They
refer only to bromophos.
Commodity MRL Pre-harvest interval

are based (days)
lettuce 1 (decreased from 2) 7
plums 2 (decreased from 5) 14
spinach 1 (decreased from 2) 7
pea straw 0.5 (previously 0.5
for pea fodder)
