PESTICIDE RESIDUES IN FOOD - 1983 Sponsored jointly by FAO and WHO EVALUATIONS 1983 Data and recommendations of the joint meeting of the FAO Panel of Experts on Pesticide Residues in Food and the Environment and the WHO Expert Group on Pesticide Residues Geneva, 5 - 14 December 1983 Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Rome 1985 AZOCYCLOTIN RESIDUES RECOMMENDATIONS In accordance with the report of the 1982 Meeting on azocyclotin/cyhexatin (para. 4.3),1 and noting the change in the estimated maximum residue for cyhexatin on beans proposed by the present Meeting, the proposed limit for azocyclotin to 0.2 mm/kg is amended in order to maintain the comparability between residues resulting from uses of azocyclotin and cyhexatin. The Meeting considered that a re-evaluation of the residues of azocyclotin on fruiting vegetables would not be worthwhile until further information on use patterns and residues data was available. It is important to recognize that good agricultural practice in the use of azocyclotin and cyhexatin should not lead to the use of these pesticides together on the same crop. Consequently, the maximum residue limits of these compounds should not be regarded as additive. 1 See Annex 2 for FAO and WHO documentation.
