PESTICIDE RESIDUES IN FOOD - 1983 Sponsored jointly by FAO and WHO EVALUATIONS 1983 Data and recommendations of the joint meeting of the FAO Panel of Experts on Pesticide Residues in Food and the Environment and the WHO Expert Group on Pesticide Residues Geneva, 5 - 14 December 1983 Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Rome 1985 CYPERMETHRIN RESIDUES RECOMMENDATIONS At the request of the Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues, the Meeting re-examined the data from the 1981 Meeting1 supporting the estimate of 5 mg/kg (on a dry weight basis) as a maximum residue level on alfalfa, maize fodder and sorghum fodder. Taking into account the range of initial deposits of cypermethrin following treatment, the uncertainty of the period between treatment and use as a feed and the fact that some of the data referred to the green crop, the Meeting found no basis for changing its earlier estimate for these animal feeds. 1 See Annex 2 for FAO and WHO documentation.
