    RESIDUES

    Explanation

The Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues asked the Meeting to
reconsider the definition of the residue. The original data were
    studied (FAO/WHO 1969).1

No data were available for evaluation that indicated the
concentration of parent compound and its oxygen analogue separately,
except for data on cattle milk, in which the maximum concentration of
parent compound was 0.27 and 0.16 mg/kg at 6 and 30 h after the last
application. The oxygen analogue was not detectable (<0.1 mg/kg)
    (FAO/WHO 1979).1

Because of the lack of suitable residue data, the definition of
    the residue cannot be changed.
