DICHLOFLUANID
Explanation
The Twelfth (1980) Session of CCPR requested the JMPR to
reconsider the assessment of the data on dichlofluanid in blackberries
originally made in 1979 when a maximum residue level (MRL) of 15 mg/kg
was estimated.* This level corresponded to 3-to 7-day interval between
the last application and harvest.
RESIDUES IN FOOD
RESIDUE AND ANALYTICAL ASPECTS
The Meeting notes that the shortest interval currently proposed
by national authorities was 7 days and the trial data showed that a
maximum residue level of 10 mg/kg could be estimated at a 7-day
interval. The monitoring data from the Netherlands reported in the
1974 and 1977 monographs supported this estimate, which the Meeting
agreed was suitable for proposing as an MRL.
