    PYRETHRINS

This pesticide was evaluated by the 1966 Joint Meeting of the FAO
Working Party and the WHO Expert Committee on Pesticide Residues
(FAO/WHO, 1967). The previous publication contained an error under
"Further work" regarding sensitivity of the required analytical
methods. Since no additional data has become available on this
compound, only the recommendations for tolerances and the further work
    required are repeated below.

    RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TOLERANCES

Temporary tolerances until 31 December 1972

              Cereals 3 ppm

              Cereal products, fresh fruit,
dried fruit, oil seeds 1 ppm

    FURTHER WORK

Further work required before 30 June 1972

Further work is needed on methods of measuring and detecting residues
down to 0.1 ppm of pyrethrins.
